When it comes to the world of social media, everything looks perfect. But, as we all know, it's all a lie, and nothing is as it seems. The growing movement of influencers exposing the harsh truths behind the seemingly picture-perfect lives we see on Instagram raises awareness of the influencer industry's detrimental effects on consumers. But still, people continue to compare their real lives to the fake ones they perceive to be perfect on Instagram and other social media platforms, which can create body image issues, jealousy, and insecurities, amongst other things.
